Most Mediations End in Successful Settlement

What is Mediation?

Mediation is a confidential, non-binding process where I serve as a neutral third party to guide the conversation, clarify the issues, and help both sides explore practical, mutually agreeable solutions. Unlike court proceedings, you stay in full control of the outcome. If both parties reach an agreement, the terms are documented in a settlement agreement that is legally enforceable.

Why Mediation Works

  • Voluntary and Collaborative – Encourages open communication and cooperation
  • Cost-Effective – Often less expensive than litigation
  • Faster Resolution – Sessions are scheduled at your convenience
  • Confidential – Discussions remain private, unlike court proceedings
  • Flexible and Customized – Solutions can be tailored to your unique needs

My Role as Your Mediator

I bring a blend of legal insight and human-centered understanding to every mediation. With years of experience as a practicing attorney, I understand both the technical and emotional dimensions of conflict. Before mediation begins, we’ll:

  • Agree on ground rules
  • Clarify expectations
  • Set a respectful and productive tone

If needed, I can also conduct binding mediation, where I issue a final decision on unresolved matters if both parties are unable to fully agree.

Flexible Scheduling and Locations

Mediations can take place:

  • In person at a neutral, welcoming location
  • Remotely via secure video conferencing
  • At a site of your choice, if preferred (I am available to travel)
